Event Information

Hey everyone. Welcome!! We are starting off our fortnightly workshops with an Origami workshop, the Japanese art of folding paper. Origami began in 17th century Japan and has become very popular across the globe. Come and join us and learn how to make different animals, Pokemon, flowers and even manga characters. Any skill level is welcome, as there will be books and tutorials to follow.

In order for us to have space and material for everyone we need to know how many people are attending, so if you wanna come to this awesome workshop please sign the the SU page and the the anime society page select buy a FREE ticket for this event. The event is free, we just need to know how many people are going. You can find the link here: https://www.cardiffstudents.com/activities/society/anime/

To keep things interesting, there will be an origami competition assignment given during the workshop. After the workshop and learning and practising origami, all participants will take home material and the design for the same manga origami character. You will need to complete the character and send a picture of it with a piece of paper with your name and date to your Anime Society Workshop officer (Carolina Toste). The competition will be open for 48 hours, after that all entries will be void. The first person to successfully do this wins a super cool Bakugo Pop! keychain. We hope to see you there!
