To come to Bath is to take a step back in time to Quintessential England. Named after the Roman baths and natural hot springs, high society has been flocking to this refined city for centuries. You can visit one of the most famous Georgian properties, the Royal Crescent, built in the rich warmth of Bath stone. Yet, you might know Bath for its Roman Baths; spectacularly preserved, with over 2,000 years of history, you can walk in the footsteps of our predecessors. But Bath isn’t just for history buff’s; visit Bath’s rooftop thermal spa, indulge in some retail therapy or try a Bath bunn in Sally Lunn’s world-renowned tea house. This beautiful city is small enough to see in a day, but inspiring enough that it will remain large in your heart.

On the day of our trip is Bath Carnival, an annual celebration of culture with vibrant displays and festivities from over the world. All day there will be a live bands, walkabout acts and food and drink stalls in one of the city gardens. When you’re not relaxing in the gardens and taking in the atmosphere, this will be a great time to visit Bath’s many attractions. The highlight is the parade throughout the city centre, with music, costumes, dancers, floats and all the fun of the fair! Tenby is one of the most famous towns in South Wales and for a reason! Escape city life and breathe in the fresh sea air in this charming coastal town. The colourful houses on the seafront radiate a vintage opulence, whilst the clear waters will whisk you straight to the Mediterranean. Yet, at its heart, this is a classic British resort town that’s withstood the test of time. Alongside the ice cream kiosks and fudge parlours, you’ll find a traditional arcade and grand church, which has been serving the people of Tenby since the 1200s.

Give-It-A-Go: Pen Y Fan (Postgrad Exclusive) (16/05/2026, 09:30)

The highest point in South Wales, Pen y Fan (pronounced Pen uh Van) is a beautiful four mile hike with stunning views as far as the Bristol channel, the Gower Peninsular and the Cambrian mountains. 250,000 people make this climb each year, so you’d be missing out to leave Wales without doing it.

The Bannau Brycheiniog (known in English as the Brecon Beacons), where Pen y Fan is situated, has been a National Park for over 60 years. The park is full of mountains and valleys and much is it is grazed by ponies and mountain sheep, which help to make the vast, rural mountain range what it is today.

The walk is about four miles in total, 2 miles and up and 2 miles back time with plenty of time at the summit for lunch and photo opportunities! The route we will take is the most relaxed way to the summit and is often used by families with young children and considered a manageable walk. And with 98% of the 971 trip advisor reviews describing this walk as ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’, it’s fair to say it’s worth the hike!

Ibrahim Maalouf, a trailblazing figure in French music, achieved global recognition over the past decade. In 2022, his album "Queen of Sheba" earned him a historic Grammy nomination, followed by another nod in 2023 for "Capacity to Love." His extensive career includes being the first jazz musician to fill France's largest concert hall, receiving multiple Victoires du Jazz and Victoires de la Musique awards, and international honors like the Echo Jazz in Germany. Collaborating with renowned artists and supported by Quincy Jones, Maalouf continues to break musical boundaries, as seen in his sold-out 2023 Accor Arena performance and the announcement of his 2024 world tour in the United States and Canada. With the release of his new album TRUMPETS OF MICHEL ANGE, Ibrahim Maalouf will embark on an exciting Asian tour at the end of 2024, followed by two sold-out shows at La Salle Pleyel in Paris in December.

Following the hugely successful 2025 tour, Toots and the Maytals featuring Leba Hibbert return to spread their timeless reggae spirit. The Maytals first formed in the 1960s, updating their name to Toots and the Maytals for their debut album Sweet And Dandy in 1969. Regarded as one of the most influential ska and rocksteady groups, they famously introduced the word “reggae” to the world with their 1968 single Do The Reggay.

Led for decades by the legendary Frederick “Toots” Hibbert – hailed by Rolling Stone as one of the 100 greatest singers of all time – the band created classics such as 54-46 Was My Number, Monkey Man, Pressure Drop, Funky Kingston and Reggae Got Soul. Today, Toots’ daughter Leba Hibbert carries the torch, bringing her own acclaimed voice and experience working with icons like Sly & Robbie and Jimmy Cliff to honour her father’s enduring legacy.
