Act One is back again for our annual panto, this year taking inspiration from the story of Rapunzel to bring you Knotted! Come catch us in Pulse basement on the 5th of December! Doors at 7pm, start at 7:30pm!
Not all that long ago, in a world uncomfortably similar to our own, the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Cardiff University had a daughter called Rapunzel. However, this child was born with a horrible disfigurement, SHE WAS BALD. To remedy this, her incredibly wealthy parents sent the girl to Turkey to get a magical hair transplant. After this, she was put up in the university's most luxurious first year accommodation, Talybont Gate, where she met her Flat Mother, Molly Gothel. When Molly discovers Rapunzel's powers could cure her hangovers, she decides to keep Rapunzel locked away in their flat for the whole year. Now with the end of their first-year looming, Rapunzel has done nothing but rot in bed until one day she catches one of Molly's former hook-ups breaking in to steal back his mango passion vape, Jim RideHer. Rapunzel reveals to Jim that her heart's desire is to attend YOLO just once, so he offers to take her (hoping he'll get more than he bargained for later). Will the pair be able to make it to YOLO while being hotly pursued by Molly Gothel, Jim’s traitorous friends Chip and Chad and the Chancellor's lapdog, everyone’s favourite Dame / SU president Maxypuss (Maxy)?
