How To Upgrade

Booking your VIP experience is simple. Just purchase your event ticket through cardiffboxoffice.com and add the Headliner Lounge Upgrade to your basket.

The upgrade is per person and must match the event ticket you hold.

Upgrades can only be purchased via cardiffboxoffice.com & universe.com. If you have already bought a ticket elsewhere please see below.

Already bought a General Admission ticket but want to upgrade?

No problem, we would still love to have you! Follow these steps:

  1. Visit cardiffboxoffice.com and select the show you already have a ticket for.
  2. Choose Get Tickets.
  3. When the pop-up appears, scroll to the bottom and select “Have an access key”.
  4. Enter the access key: HEADLINER.
  5. You’ll then see the option to add the VIP upgrade to your existing ticket.

Please note in this circumstance you will receive two separate tickets, one for the main event and one for the Headliner Lounge. You’ll need to bring both tickets.

Bought tickets from another ticket agent such as SeeTickets or Dice?

No problem, we would still love to have you! Follow these steps:

  1. Visit cardiffboxoffice.com and select the show you already have a ticket for.
  2. Choose Get Tickets.
  3. When the pop-up appears, scroll to the bottom and select “Have an access key”.
  4. Enter the access key: HEADLINER.

Upcoming Shows

On The Day

The Headliner Lounge opens one hour before the main doors, giving you the perfect head start to your night.

Simply make your way to the dedicated VIP entrance on Senghennydd Road, marked with a blue flag, it’s around 50 metres to the left of the General Admission entrance.

Our team will scan your ticket and welcome you inside, where you can relax, make the most of your early-entry perks, and enjoy a smooth, stress-free start to the show. If you wish to make use of the early entry to the venue benefit you must arrive before 18:30.

Don’t worry, you can take your discounted food and drinks into the main venue if you aren’t finished!

Accessibility

We’re committed to ensuring that everyone can enjoy events at The Great Hall. Our spaces, staff and services are designed to be as accessible as possible, and you can find full details of our facilities and support options here.

All our accessibility provisions, including PA/Companion tickets, the First Access Scheme, and the Accessible Viewing Balcony, are fully available to anyone who purchases the Headliner Lounge Upgrade.

First Access Scheme

The First Access Scheme provides early entry to the venue for disabled customers and their PA/companions, allowing a calm and comfortable arrival before general admission.

This includes access to the Headliner Lounge, which opens one hour before the main doors.

On arrival, please make your way to the Box Office, where our team will guide you.

Accessible Viewing Balcony

Cardiff Box Office offers two spacious, seated Accessible Viewing Balconies, each providing an excellent, unobstructed view of the stage and crowd. These spaces are reserved exclusively for disabled guests.

The Headliner Lounge is located on the first floor, and the viewing balcony on the second. For the first hour, customers booked onto the viewing balcony are welcome to enjoy the lounge freely for as long as they like.

The Headliner Lounge is roughly 10 meters from The Accessible Viewing Balcony via a flat hard surface.

From 15 minutes before general admission doors, guests can head up to the balcony at their own pace. Staff will be available to assist if needed.

I can’t find the Headliner Lounge Upgrade for my chosen show.

To book the Headliner Lounge, purchase your ticket through cardiffboxoffice.com and add the upgrade to your basket at checkout.

Please note that the upgrade isn’t available for every event. If you can’t see it listed, it won’t be offered for that particular show.

This sounds great, how much is The Headliner Lounge pass?

The Headliner Lounge Pass is £25.00 per person, this includes all the benefits listed above.

Artist VIPs or Meet & Greets

For some shows, the artist or promotor may run their own VIP or Meet & Greet Session. This is different from the Headliner Lounge and the two do not have any connection.

Can I make a group or company booking?

Yes — we’re happy to help with group or corporate enquiries. Please contact us at headlinerlounge@cardiff.ac.uk. VAT recipts can be provided.

Does Cardiff Box Office offer hospitality packages for all events?

No. the Headliner Lounge upgrade is only available for selected shows. If the option doesn’t appear at checkout, it isn’t available for your chosen event.

Does the Headliner Lounge offer a VIP stage viewing area?

No. The Headliner Lounge is an early-entry upgrade. All benefits — including early access, discounts and queue-free entry — are listed at the top of this page.

Do age restrictions apply when booking the Headliner Lounge?

Most events are 14+, with under-16s accompanied by a responsible adult. However, some performances are 18+. Please check the age guidance on the event page before booking.

Is car parking included in hospitality packages?

Parking is not included, and the venue does not have on-site parking. Please plan your travel accordingly.

If I book a hospitality experience, can I go backstage or meet the artist?

No. Backstage access and artist meet-and-greets are not included and cannot be arranged on request.

To enjoy the Headliner Lounge, you’ll just need to have a valid ticket for the associated event on the same date as your Lounge Pass.

Event tickets can be purchased via cardiffboxoffice.com or at the venue on the day of the show (subject to availability).

Please note that the Lounge Pass does not include entry to the event itself. If you do not hold a valid ticket for the associated event on the same date, we won’t be able to admit you to the Lounge and refunds will not be available.
